Behind The Scenes Tour At Tom Clover Racing
Enjoy a morning on the gallops with a rising star of the Newmarket training ranks, Tom Clover. Based in the iconic and stunning surroundings of Kremlin House Stables (see right) where Carroll House was trained to win the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe.
Who is it for?
Perfect if you are new to racing and want to learn what components come together to get the thoroughbred from their stable to success on the track.
It's the ideal introduction as you can ask anything you like. We want to work with you to help improve your racing knowledge so you can become as excited about racing as we are!
Prices are £450 for six people but larger groups can be accommodated. Please just let us know when you make your enquiry.
Tom Clover relocated to the historic Kremlin House Stables in September 2019, the former base of his late father-in-law Michael Jarvis. Having worked for trainers Charlie Longsdon and David Simcock during Michael’s illustrious career he saddled winners at Royal Ascot, and the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
Highlights for Tom and his wife Jackie (see right) so far include Celsius’ victory at Glorious Goodwood, Hunni taking the £40,000 EBF Fillies’ Nursery at Newmarket and the exploits of 6,000 guineas yearling buy Gypsy Spirit who finished placed in five Stakes (top level) races.
Prize money and the number of race victories have increased year on year with 2020 proving to be the yard’s most successful to date.
- Coffee on arrival with a meet and greet from Galloping To Give to explain your itinerary for the morning
- Personal tour around the yard from Tom to see his horses, including some of his recent purchases at the sales and learn about the first class facilities
- Head out into the morning air to see Tom’s string gallop on the historic Newmarket Heath spanning 2500 acres
- A pit stop for tea/coffee and breakfast with the opportunity to ask Tom any questions about his training methods and future plans for his horses - Tom regularly has runners at Newmarket too
- Return to the stables for a further look around the yard, see the horses being washed down after exercise and have pictures taken
- The obligatory group photo to record your experience and a final opportunity to ask any questions

2. A fun filled morning at Alex Hales' yard on the stunning Edgcote Estate, before a short 30 minute journey, to Warwick Racecourse for a spectacular afternoon where Alex often has runners.
Racing at this course can trace it's origins back 1694 with the imposing Castle just a stone's throw from the course - it's the perfect place to immerse you and your guests into a traditional national hunt course with lunch, badges and Galloping To Give tour of the course all included.

We are delighted to have added Newbury Racecourse to our roster of racecourses.A leading course with top class action of both jumps and flat racing, you will be spoilt rotten at this stunning Berkshire course.Conveniently located a mile from the M4 and with it's own station, with direct links to London, it is perfectly placed to cater for all of your requirements.

- A farewell group photo to record your morning before departing to the races

British Racing School
The British Racing School is a purpose built training centre on the outskirts of Newmarket, the headquarters of British horse racing. With extensive grounds and state of the art equipment it’s the premier training facility in the country.
The British Racing School was established in 1983. The principal objective of the school is to provide and promote training and education for people employed in the racing industry.
The school is committed to providing access to every community in the UK so that young people are empowered to build bright futures in the horse racing industry, regardless of their background or circumstances. It's something Galloping To Give is delighted to support.
Its commitment to delivering top quality training to all of its students can only be met if they have the right environment to work in.

- Personal tour around the school from one of their representatives giving your group the chance to observe the school's top of the range facilities, from the seven furlong Activ-Track straight gallop to cutting-edge race simulators and analysis software.
Activities you might see include:
Budding jockeys learning the art of race riding under the expert eye of the BRS’ tutors
See some of the groups doing a range of activities from schooling to stalls work to fitness in the gym
You will have the ability to ask questions and see first hand how the next generation of talent for the sport is coming through
- Breakfast is also included within your tour, which lasts approximately one hour.
